Emergency Help and Rapid Response – Bhimashankar Trek (Padarwadi Route) 🚨 While trekking and descending via Padarwadi route after visiting Bhimashankar, Durgesh Mishra, a resident of North India and Ulhasnagar, slipped and injured his knee. He was with his family and friends, but could not walk due to the injury and the situation became very difficult. 🙏 Fortunately, some trekkers realized the seriousness of the situation and contacted Mr. Rahul Meshram. He immediately informed Amar Chimte of Tunga Trekkers, Nomad Ventures India and SERT (Sahyadri Emergency Response Team) who is active in Bhimashankar and Sahyadri ranges. 🚑 Amar and Omkar reached the spot from Nandgaon-Khandas. They immediately bandaged the injury and administered first aid. This gave the person some stability and confidence, with their help he was properly guided and brought down.  A 21-year-old man drowned at Mahuli waterfall in Shahapur while enjoying the monsoon; local rescue team recovered his body amid challenging conditions.  While playing in the water, he reportedly lost his balance and fell nearly 25 feet into the deep stream. The local rescue team at Mahuli is said to have retrieved over 100 bodies from deep waters and gorges so far, often under extremely challenging conditions in the last five years. Nighoj is a village in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, India. It is about 90 km away from Pune and had naturally created potholes on the riverbed of the Kukadi River.   On 09/06/2025, one of the relatives who had come from Yeola Nashik to Nighoj Ranjankhalge for Devdarshan went missing on 10/06/2026. Everyone reached Nashik after searching, but he had not gone there either. Then they came to Nighoj again on 12/06/2025, when a body was found deep in Ranjankhalge. Shivdurg Mitra, Lonavala Rescue Team was called from Parner Police Station and called for help. It was night, so the team reached Nighoj Ranjankhalge early in the morning. After inspecting, the work started. On 13/06/2025, the body was taken out within an hour and handed over to the police for further action. Deceased Shiva Dadabhau Thackeray, age 29 years.  A 17-year-old boy, Nilesh Shinde, drowned in Valvan Dam in Lonavala while on a trip with friends. The incident occurred when he misjudged the depth of the water while entering the dam from the rear side near Varsoli.
