 A 20-year-old youth almost drowned at Rautwadi waterfall in #Kolhapur, slipping while taking a selfie. A group of young men rescued him from the water. The authorities have been asked to barricade the roads leading to the waterfalls.

 A 20-year-old youth nearly drowned at Rautwadi waterfall in Kolhapur. He slipped while taking a selfie. Nearby youths rescued him from the water. Authorities have been asked to ban people from going near waterfalls. Heavy rains have caused many waterfalls to become active. Satara's District Collector has also banned tourists at waterfalls.

  Ganesh Geedh of Della Adventure in Lonavala was called in as the young man's condition was critical and required a bucket stretcher and careful handling was in order. Ganesh Geedh immediately left to reach the spot of the incident as instructed and decided to start the next operation in the morning without taking any risk during the night. Kapil Kasbe was teary-eyed as he thanked Ganesh Geedh and his colleagues, members of Jivarshak Dal Shahapur, local villagers, police force, forest personnel and revenue officials who sacrificed their lives to bring him to safety.
