 Irshalgarh Tragedy Statement At Irsalwadi, at the base of Irshalgarh fort, a landslide collapsed last night and over 40 houses were buried under the soil. Many tribal families living in that settlement were trapped under the collapsed crevasse. As the incident occurred in a hilly area, the Raigad District Disaster Management Officer and the local police received calls for help on the MMRCC mountain rescue helpline. Immediately the rescue team of Yashwanti Hikers Khopoli went to help. followed by Mr. Ganesh Geedh along with his rescue team immediately went to help. As soon as the information about the incident came, some other organizations, government agencies, villagers, e. also reached the spot for help and all of them started rescuing the tribal families trapped under the crevasse. As the incident is big and relief work should be done on war footing to rescue the affected, the Disaster Management Officer appealed to all the organizations to help.
