17-year-old youth dies after drowning in Valvan dam in Lonavala 31 may 2025

 A 17-year-old boy, Nilesh Shinde, drowned in Valvan Dam in Lonavala while on a trip with friends. The incident occurred when he misjudged the depth of the water while entering the dam from the rear side near Varsoli. The Shivdurga Mitra Rescue Team recovered his body after a search operation

मित्रांसोबत सहलीला गेलेला असताना लोणावळा येथील वलवण धरणात १७ वर्षीय नीलेश शिंदे बुडाला. वरसोलीजवळील मागील बाजूने धरणात प्रवेश करताना पाण्याची खोली चुकीचा अंदाज आल्याने ही घटना घडली. शिवदुर्गा मित्र बचाव पथकाने शोध मोहिमेनंतर त्याचा मृतदेह बाहेर काढला.

Man falls into valley from Mahuli Fort 10.5.2024

  Ganesh Geedh of Della Adventure in Lonavala was called in as the young man's condition was critical and required a bucket stretcher and careful handling was in order. Ganesh Geedh immediately left to reach the spot of the incident as instructed and decided to start the next operation in the morning without taking any risk during the night. Kapil Kasbe was teary-eyed as he thanked Ganesh Geedh and his colleagues, members of Jivarshak Dal Shahapur, local villagers, police force, forest personnel and revenue officials who sacrificed their lives to bring him to safety.
