Tourism restrictions in Pune eased

 Sinhagad : In view of the heavy rain warning issued by the Meteorological Department and the increased number of accidents due to crowding at the tourist spots, the district administration has relaxed the restrictions imposed for tourism on Gad forts and tourist spots in seven talukas of Pune district on the demand of the Conservator of Forests Pune and the Superintendent of Police Pune Gramin. Although all the places in the district have been opened for tourism, Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh has appealed to all the citizens to take precautions in case of emergency.


Due to the increase in the intensity of rain and due to the warning of heavy rain in some places of the district, From July 14, 2022 to July 17, 2022 at twelve o'clock in the night, a ban was imposed on going to forts, dams and other tourist places in seven talukas of the district. In the meantime, various measures were taken on behalf of the district administration at the respective places for the safety of the citizens. All restrictions have been relaxed from 18th July 2022 and the respective places have been opened for tourists.

•Haveli / Sinhgad Fort, Atkarwadi to Sinhgad Trek


•Mawal/ Lohgad Fort, Visapur Fort, Tikona Fort, Tung Fort, Duxnose, Bhaje Cave, Bhaje Falls, Dudhivare Khin, Pawana Complex, Rajmachi Trek, Kataldara Fort and Falls, Kondheshwar to Dhakbehari Fort, Ekvira Cave Parish.


•Mulshi/Andharban Trek, Plus Valley, Kundalika Valley, Dipdara, Koraigarh.


•Bhor/Raireshwar Fort


•Velhe/Rajgad Fort, Torna Fort, Panshet Dam Area, Madheghat.


•Junnar/Jeedhan Fort.


•Ambegaon/ Baliware to Padarwadi, Bhimashankar trek (via Bailghat Shidighat, Ganapati).


(Restrictions of all the above places have been lifted by the district administration.)
