Tourism Banned In Tamhini Ghat Area
, Tushar Chavan, Conservator of Wildlife and Forests of Pune Forest Department, has ordered a ban on tourism in the Tamhini sanctuary until further orders to avoid any accident and death cases.
The area of Tamhini sanctuary falls in the area where the observatory has predicted heavy rainfall. There is heavy rainfall in this area. It has been raining here for the last 12 days. Streams and streams are flooded. There has been a huge loss of agriculture and paddy crops. Roads and paths have become slippery.
Tamhini Ghat, Andharban area has a large number of mountains, deep valleys. Many landslides have happened here during monsoons. The flow of waterfalls has increased due to the large amount of water coming in the streams.
