 Pune: An unfortunate incident has taken place in the Bhiwegaon Devkund waterfall near Bhimashankar in Pune district. A team of six doctors had gone for a walk. During this time, a doctor drowned. The name of this doctor is Subodh Karande. A local youth who went to save the drowning doctor Subodh Karande also drowned. The name of the deceased youth is Dilip Vanghere. Meanwhile, a rescue operation is underway in Devkund with the help of locals.

A heartbreaking incident has come to light in which two people drowned in the famous Devkund waterfall in Bhiwegaon near Bhimashankar in Pune. Subodh Karande, who had come for a walk with a team of six doctors, got caught in the strong current of the water while wandering around the waterfall area. He lost his balance and was dragged into deep water and despite trying to save himself, he could not get out. This sudden incident created a stir among the tourists present along with his colleagues.

During the incident, local youth Dilip Wanghare jumped into the water without a moment's delay. However, due to the strong current of the water and the deep valley-like wetland, he could not save his life either. Both of them disappeared under the water in a few moments. Seeing this incident, an atmosphere of fear had created among the citizens and tourists.

Local citizens and tourists immediately started a rescue operation. A search was started in the water using ropes and available tools. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and emergency rescue teams reached the spot. After a few hours of efforts, the bodies of both were pulled out. They were then taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared them dead.



These incidents have once again highlighted the need for tourists and locals to be careful near water. Although going in the presence of nature is enjoyable, these two accidents have made us realize that if we ignore the risks involved, life-changing unfortunate incidents can happen in that moment.
