पुणे : पश्चिम घाटातील जैवविविधता आणि जैवसंपन्नतेला बाधा पोहचत असल्याच्या कारणास्तव वन विभागाने ताम्हिणी, सुधारगड आणि अंधारबन अभयारण्यात पर्यटकांना प्रवेश बंदी केली होती. मात्र, पावसाचा चार महिन्यांचा हंगाम स्थानिक लोकांना रोजगाराची संधी देणारा असल्याने त्यांच्या मागणीस्तव वन विभागाने ही बंदी शिथील केली आहे. त्यानुसार एकावेळेस २५ पर्यटकांच्या ग्रुपलाच परवानगी दिली जाणार असून टप्प्याटप्याने ग्रुप सोडले जाणार आहेत.मात्र, पर्यटकांबरोबर प्रशिक्षित गाईड आणि ट्रेकर असणे बंधनकारक करण्यात आले आहे.
येत्या ४ आॅगस्टपासून अंधारबन पर्यटकांसाठी खुला होणार आहे. गेल्या वर्षी ताम्हिणी परिसरामधील मोठ्या ओढ्यामध्ये गेलेल्या दोन पर्यटकांचा पाय घसरल्याने त्यांना जीव गमवावा लागला होता. यातच पर्यटकांकडून ताम्हिणी परिसरात प्लॅस्टिक कचरा तसेच दारूच्या बाटल्या टाकणे अशाप्रकारच्या पर्यटकांच्या बेजबाबदारपणा आणि बेशिस्तपणामुळे येथील जैवविविधतेला धोका निर्माण होत असल्याचे दिसून आले आहे. त्यामुळे वन विभागाने त्यावर कडक पावले उचलण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. त्यानुसार पश्चिम घाटांतर्गत येणा-या ताम्हिणी,सुधागड आणि मुळशी भागातील अंधारबन भागात पर्यावरणाच्या दृष्टीने ठरवून देण्यात आलेल्या अतिसंवेदनशील भागात पर्यटकांना जाण्यास मज्जाव करण्यात करण्यात आला. मात्र, या बंदीचा परिणाम स्थानिक रोजगारावर पडणार असल्याचे गावक-यांचे म्हणणे असल्यामुळे ही बंदी शिथिल करण्यात आली आहे. अंधारबन येत्या ४ आॅगस्टपासून खुले होणार असल्याची माहिती वनपरिक्षेत्र अधिकारी अंकिता तरडे यांनी ‘लोकमत’शी बोलताना दिली.
त्या म्हणाल्या, २०१३ च्या राज्य वनविभागाच्या अधिनियमानुसार ताम्हिणी घाटातील अभयारण्याची नोंद आहे. हे अभयारण्य वेगवेगळ्या १२ भागात विभागले असून, यामध्ये सस्तन प्राण्यांच्या २५ प्रजाती आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे यात महाराष्ट्राचा राज्यप्राणी ‘शेकरु’ याचाही समावेश आहे. याबरोबरच बिबट्या, भेकर हे देखील या परिसरात आढळतात. १५० हून अधिक पक्षांच्या जाती आणि फुलपाखरांच्या ७० पेक्षा अधिक प्रजातींचे वास्तव्य आहे. मलबार किंग फिशर हा स्थलांतरित पक्षी याभागात प्रजोत्पादनासाठी येतो. मात्र, आता पर्यटकांच्या वावरामुळे तो दिसणही दुर्मिळ झाले आहे. घनदाट जंगल अशी ओळख असलेले अंधारबन हे जंगल ताम्हिणी घाटाच्या मध्यवर्ती भागापासून १३ किमी अंतरावर आहे. पर्यटकांच्या दृष्टीने हे अत्यंत प्रसिध्द ठिकाण आहे. येथे सातत्याने हौशी पर्यटकांची वर्दळ सुरु असते. दरवर्षी पावसाळ्याच्या दरम्यान येथील निसर्गाचा आनंद लुटण्यासाठी पर्यटक मोठ्या संख्येने गर्दी करतात. मात्र दिवसेंदिवस त्यांच्याकडून पर्यावरणाचे नुकसान होत आहे. यासाठी ही बंदी घालण्यात आली होती. मात्र स्थानिक लोकांच्या रोजगाराचा विचार करून ही बंदी शिथील करण्यात आली आहे. अंधारबन मध्ये २५लोकांचा ग्रृप स्थानिक गाईड आणि ट्रेकर्सच्या नियंत्रणाखाली पाठविला जाणार आहे. पर्यटकांकडे सुरक्षिततेची साधन असणे आवश्यक आहे. प्रत्येक अतिसंवेदनशील भागात स्थानिक संरक्षकांची नेमणूक केली जाणार असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
