Section 144 applied to tourist spots in Panvel banned till September 30, 2022

The monsoon has started and during the monsoon, Gadheshwar (Deharang) Morbe dams within the limits of Panvel taluka Thane as well as Vardoli waterfall, Kundi waterfall (waterfall near Arpita Farm House), Harigram river basin, Dhodani river basin, Chindran and Mohdar river basin, Shantivan river basin, Shantivan river basin There are such rainy season tourists and many tourists visit this area during monsoon season. Tourists come every weekend with their family and friends. Many are not tempted to go into the water, so in case of any untoward incident, prohibition orders have been issued as per Section 144 in the places of rainy tourist destinations. Around 4000 to 5000 youths visit Gadheshwar Dam area every weekend during monsoon. And the water coming from the dam falls into the river / nala, the rain water coming from this dam is more or less. There have been several cases of tourists falling into the dam area due to heavy rains in the Matheran hills area where there is always a lot of rainfall and also due to lack of rain in the dam area. Also, tourists visit Kundi Falls (waterfall near Arpita Farm House) in Thane Thane area. Considering the above matters as a responsibility for the life and safety of the people, it has been prohibited as per Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
