Irshalgad fort trekking ban 08082018

Trekkers and hikers have been prohibited from visting the irshalgad fortress at karjat taluka close to matheran.This ban was put in place due to a 20 mtr long crack in the road leading to the fort. A range forest officer said the crack widened during the rain

One should avoid taking this route in rainy season. Ways To Reach :       Vadavali village at the foothill of the fort can be accessed via Panvel or Khopoli. The Vadavali is near to Paatalganga MIDC; so there are various options of vehicles. Via Panvel :- There are two ways from Panvel to reach the Vadavali village at the base of the fort. 1) Panvel – old Mumbai Pune Highway – Dand fork road – Rasayani – Paatalganga MIDC – Vashivali – Vadgaon. 29 years dies at Nighoj naturally created potholes on the riverbed of the Kukadi River 1.7.2025

Nighoj is a village in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, India. It is about 90 km away from Pune and had naturally created potholes on the riverbed of the Kukadi River.   On 09/06/2025, one of the relatives who had come from Yeola Nashik to Nighoj Ranjankhalge for Devdarshan went missing on 10/06/2026. Everyone reached Nashik after searching, but he had not gone there either. Then they came to Nighoj again on 12/06/2025, when a body was found deep in Ranjankhalge. Shivdurg Mitra, Lonavala Rescue Team was called from Parner Police Station and called for help. It was night, so the team reached Nighoj Ranjankhalge early in the morning. After inspecting, the work started. On 13/06/2025, the body was taken out within an hour and handed over to the police for further action. Deceased Shiva Dadabhau Thackeray, age 29 years.
