These six people had come to visit Harishchandragad, at three o'clock in the afternoon they started their journey to Harishchandragad via Khireshwar Tolarkhind. They were getting information from the travelers they met on the way. said,

१ आॅगस्ट २०२३ वार मंगळवार रोजी पुणे परिसरातील
हे सहा जण हरिश्चंद्रगडाला भेट देण्यासाठी आले होते, दुपारी तीन वाजता खिरेश्वर टोलारखिंड मार्गे हरिश्चंद्रगड असा प्रवास सुरू झाला, वाटेत भेटणा-या प्रवाशांकडून माहिती घेत होते, कुणी त्यांना गडावर जाऊन परत येणे होणार नाही असे सांगितले,तर कुणी गडावर राहण्याची व जेवणाची सोय होते असे ही सांगितले,
त्यामुळे जरी आपल्याला गडावर पोहचण्यास वेळ लागला तरी आपण गडावर मुक्काम करु शकतो या हेतूने त्यांचा प्रवास सुरू होता, अंधार पडायच्या अगोदर टोलारखिंडीच्या वरील अवघड टप्पा त्यांनी पार केला खरं पण खरी कसरत सुरू झाली, अंधार पडत चालला होता... पावसाचं प्रमाण वाढलं होतं... व धुक्याने घट्ट जाळे विणले होते, त्यामुळे समोरचं काहीच दिसत नव्हतं,
अशा अवस्थेत त्यांचा प्रवास चालूच होता, उशीर झालेला असल्यामुळे गडावर मुक्काम करू व दुस-या दिवशी सकाळी परत जाऊ असा त्यांचा प्लॅन होता...
पण नियतीच्या मनात काहीतरी वेगळंच होतं, अंधार व धुक्याचं एकत्रीकरण झाल्यामुळे मोबाईल टाॅर्चच्या उजेडात पायाखालची वाट दिसत नसल्यामुळे मुळ गडावर जाणारी वाट सोडून ते दुसऱ्याच वाटेने चालत राहिले. त्यामुळे ते हरिश्चंद्रगडावरील मंदिर परिसरात न जाता गडावरील वेताळदांड परिसरात गेले,व रात्री गडावर सोसाट्याच्या वा-या सोबत जोरदार पाऊस सुरू झाला,
पावसाने ओलेचिंब भिजले असल्यामुळे व सोसाट्याच्या वा-यामुळे थंडीने कुडकुडत त्यांनी कारवीच्या रानाचा आधार घेतला व रात्र संपण्याची वाट पाहु लागले, ही रात्र त्यांच्या आयुष्यातील वै-याची रात्र ठरली, सकाळचे सहा वाजले व त्यांचा प्रवास सुरू झाला पण रात्रीच्या वा-या पावसामुळे त्यांच्यातील अनिल उर्फ बाळु गिते यांची प्रकृती बिघडली होती, त्यांना व्यवस्थित चालताही येत नव्हते, त्यामुळे बाळु गिते यांना कधी आधार देत तर कधी पाठीशी घेऊन ते रस्ता शोधत होते पण दुर्दैवाने त्यांना रस्ता मिळत नव्हता,
बुधवार दिनांक २ आॅगस्ट २०२३ रोजी सकाळी दहा ते सव्वा दहाच्या दरम्यान बाळु गिते यांचा दुर्दैवी मृत्यू झाला. बाळु गिते यांचे मृतदेह सोबत घेऊन रस्ता शोधत होते पण
सहकाऱ्याचा मृत्यू व रस्ता मिळत नाही या विचाराने हरिओम बोरुडे हा चौदा वर्षाचा मुलगा अस्वस्थ झाला व त्याचीही प्रकृती चिंताजनक वाटु लागल्यामुळे दोन जण बाळु गिते यांच्या मृतदेहा सोबत तर दोन जण हरी ओम ला सोबत घेऊन मदत मिळवण्यासाठी जिवाच्या आकांताने ओरडून प्रयत्न करत होते, त्यांना त्या परिसरात नैसर्गिक गुहा भेटली,व हरि ओम व महादु बुतेकर यांना गुहेत सोडुन बाकी सहकारी मदत मिळवण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करत होते, याच दरम्यान कल्याण वरून हरिश्चंद्रगड भटकंतीसाठी आलेला सात जणांचा ग्रुप रस्ता भटकल्यामुळे त्यांची व यांची भेट झाली, हा ग्रुप भेटल्यावर आशेचे किरण दिसू लागले होते पण...
त्यांच्याकडे मदत मागितली असता त्यांनी आंम्ही रस्ता चुकलो आहोत, हे सांगितले पण जर आंम्हाला योग्य रस्ता मिळाला तर आंम्ही तुमच्या मदतीसाठी कुणालातरी नक्की पाठवु असे सांगितले. योगायोगाने मी व माझे बंधू मारुती चहादु रेंगडे गडावर कामानिमित्त निघालो होतो, दरम्यान आंम्हाला सोलापूर (मंगळवेढा) येथुन आलेले दोन जण भेटले, गडावर जाण्यासाठी सुरवात करणार तोच बंधुंना गाईडसाठी फोन आला, त्यामुळे येणाऱ्या गृपची वाट पाहत बंधू थांबले व आंम्ही तिघे जण सकाळी बारा वाजता गड चढायला सुरुवात केली.
दुपारी अडीच वाजण्याच्या सुमारास अगदी मंदिराच्या जवळ पोहोचलो व आंम्हाला कल्याण वरून आलेला सात जणांचा ग्रुप भेटला, मी त्यांना कुठून आलात सर असं विचारलं तर त्यांनी कल्याण वरून आलो आहोत असे सांगितले व मला तुंम्ही स्थानिक आहात का असे विचारले तर मी हो म्हटलो,
तेंव्हा त्यांनी रस्त्यावर भेटलेल्या त्या ग्रुपची सविस्तर माहिती दिली,अंतर, जवळचं ओळखीचं ठिकाण,
व त्यांच्याकडे खाण्यासाठी काही नाही व एक जण मृत्यु झाला आहे व लहान मुलाची प्रकृती गंभीर आहे.
तसा मी माझ्या सोबत असलेल्यांना त्यांच्या सोबत सोडुन
मंदिर परिसरात असलेल्या आमच्या छोट्याश्या हाॅटेलवर आलो व
आमचे मित्र Onkar दादा यांना फोन करून गडावर घडलेल्या घटनेची माहिती दिली व मदतीसाठी रेस्क्यु टिम पाठवण्यास सांगितले,पाच सहा बिस्कीट पुडे सोबत घेतले व ताबडतोब त्या सहा जणांना शोधण्यासाठी निघालो,
सात जणांच्या ग्रुपने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार मी त्या परिसरात पोहचलो पण पाऊस व धुके प्रचंड प्रमाणात असल्याने मला तो ग्रुप आवाज देऊन देखिल सापडत नव्हता,याच दरम्यान धुकं कमी झालं व गोविंद आंबेकर हे मला दिसले. मी त्यांच्या जवळ पोहोचलो व मी गावातुन तुमच्या मदतीसाठी आलो आहे, हे शब्द ऐकून गोविंद आंबेकर यांच्या डोळ्यांतुन अश्रु वाहु लागले.
त्यांना आधार देत तुमचे सहकारी कुठे आहेत असे विचारले व मला त्या ठिकाणी घेऊन गेले, तेथे मला बाळु गिते यांच्या मृतदेहा जवळ तुकाराम आसाराम तिपाले हे बसलेले दिसले,मला फक्त तीन जण दिसल्यामुळे मी त्यांना विचारले की तुमचे अजुन तीन सहकारी कुठे आहेत, तेंव्हा त्यांनी मला कुठेतरी गुहा आहे त्या गुहेमध्ये ते थांबले आहेत असं सांगितले, सोबत आणलेले तिन बिस्कीट पुडे देऊन मी त्यांचा शोध घेण्यासाठी गेलो असता मला अनिल आंबेकर भेटले, व मला हरि ओम बोरुडे व महादु बुतेकर ज्या गुहेत होते त्या ठिकाणी घेऊन गेले, समोर दिसणा-या दृश्याने मन हेलावून गेले, हरिओम बोरुडे या मुलांची अवस्था गंभीर असल्याचे दिसून आले, आधार देत त्यांना सोबत आणलेले बिस्कीट दिले व काळजी करू नका म्हणून सांगितले, थोड्या वेळात गावातील लोक व रेस्क्यु टिम आपल्या मदतीला येत आहेत असं सांगितले, व काय करता येईल का याचे नियोजन करण्यासाठी पुन्हा बाळु गिते यांचे मृतदेह जेथे होते तेथे आलो,
या दोन गृपमधे पंधरा ते वीस मिनिटांच अंतर होते,
त्यामुळे बाळु गिते यांचा मृतदेह सोबत घेऊन त्या गुहेत जाण्याचे ठरवले,पण जोराचा पाऊस, वारा, धुके व
