Shivdurga Mitra Lonavla rescue at Morgiri fort near Tung fort 21.09.2022

Rescue has an unusual personality. Of the Hamras of Kerala

Rescue team received a call on 21/09/2022 afternoon. A person has lost his way at Morgiri fort near Tung fort. And need help

We took the phone number of the mistaken person and contacted that person. He is from Kerala and used to speak Hindi in bits and pieces. Asked him to send the location. And *Ensure that it is in a safe place. Told him not to leave the location*

Network was good at that place so asked to stay there and wait.

Asked to reduce phone usage. That is, he asked to be careful so that the phone does not turn off after the phone battery is exhausted and the search operation is not hindered

We reached Jambhulane village on Ghusulkhamb Tung road at four o'clock. Parked the car near Katkari settlement and inquired at the local hotel. Tai, who was in that hotel, said that he had parked his bicycle outside the hotel one km away.

And the search got the right direction. We went ahead. Saw the bicycle and inquired and left with the information. Akhade Baba, the owner of that hotel, aged 65-70, went with us. There is no network at all in the village below but there is network at the fort. After climbing a little step, we put the phone back. We said we have come. Said not to leave the place. It was half past five and he was not sure that we had come. So sent him a photo of us. We were climbing higher and higher. He was getting restless as it got dark. when will you come when will you come How much time will it take?

We asked him the name, he told *us*. Ask him to take pictures of what he sees from where he is. Nothing could be seen due to heavy fog. But some photos were taken in the afternoon and sent. We tried to add it to the map.

I walked back some distance. Some organization has well put up route marking boards. Ribbon markings are applied. They were passing in front of our eyes. We called Hamras again. Is the route marking followed from the beginning of the road?

He didn't understand what he didn't know but said he followed. Then we took the Dhopat road to the marking without any other thought. It was half past six in the evening. Akhade Baba, who came with us, made many acquaintances and became our friend. He said that now it is a steep climb and I am not going to climb much anymore. I stop here. We thought about Dad's age. And decided to keep one of our workers with them and immediately took a decision and asked Akhade Baba and one of our workers to go down to the house.

We started climbing difficult rocks on this route there is a rope at one place and at the end there is a water tank, Jakhmata Devi and from there there is a ladder to go up. We hurriedly climbed up to reach early and checked the location, the location looks close but we were on the ridge and below us in a deep valley. So called him again. So they told him all the landmarks on this road but he did not know them. He told us that he never came there. Now the route marked from bottom to top was only up to here. He seemed to have left the route and we had to find that path now. Then again we waited to get down. Hamras was calling us the same. You come early. ? How long will it take? Are you really coming?

It was now quite dark. He did not believe that we would come to help.

He expected us to say that it is night now, we will come in the morning. We came down a big step. And assuming that he must have gone straight and lost the road, we took the direction. It was raining heavily. I could not take out the phone to check the location. It was dark now we could not see the footsteps but we could see the footsteps of animals, some monkeys, after matching the location our direction was correct but the distance seemed very long. And we saw a shoe's foot print on the footpath, we immediately took a picture and sent it to Hamras. Called and asked if it was his, he didn't know either, then he checked it and told us ok. Now the search mission got a direction. Now we were moving forward along the edge of the ridge checking the buried grass. I could not see anything because of the fog.

We were once again asked to stay at the same place we have been. He was safe there. He could not go up and down, the waterfall was falling on one side. There was a valley on one side. Now we were calling him out, shooting torches in the sky and trying to see if we could see each other. Then there was a voice message. Then we were guessing by torchlight that he was in the valley and we were looking for his light below but suddenly a light flashed upwards and now we were very close. But we come near you without haste and then you move, I told him. Then we climbed up and reached them through the forest of Karvi.

He looked very happy but there were tears in his eyes. He was saying that I am reborn today. He never dreamed that someone would do such a thing. He understood that we had no interest in this, so he took some pictures with us and made some videos in Kerala language.

Then we became friends. We were amazed to see their goal of seeing 350 forts. I couldn't believe it. We check him
