Kolhapur: Following the rules of health, District Collector Daulat Desai gave permission for limited fort-mountain wandering within the district.

कोल्हापूर डिस्ट्रीक्ट माऊंटेनिअरींग असोसिएशन ही जिल्ह्यातील गिर्यारोहणाची,गिर्यारोहण संस्थांची आणि गिर्यारोहकांची अधिकृत शिखर संस्था आहे,म्हणूनच आपल्या सर्वांच्या ध्यासपूर्ण गडकोट भटकंतीच्या पालकत्वाच्या जबाबदारीची जाणीव संस्थेला आहे. गेले सात-आठ महिने आपण डोंगर दुर्गांपासून दूर राहीलो,, गडकोटांवर जाता न येणे किती अवघड असते हे आपण सर्वांनीच गेले काही महीने अनुभवले आहे.. आपण फार काळ डोंगरदऱ्यांपासून दूर राहू शकत नाही... डोंगर दुर्ग हेच आपले खरे जगणे आहे.. तोच आपला श्वास आहे,,, डोंगर दुर्गांवर जाण्याची आपली ओढ आम्हाला अस्वस्थ करीत होती... म्हणूनच डोंगर दुर्गांच्या वाटांवर जाण्याच्याआपल्या सर्वांच्या या भावनांसह आम्ही जिल्हाधिकारी
मा. दौलत देसाई साहेबांना भेटलो...
आपल्या सर्वांच्या भावना आणि भटकंतीची ओढ त्यांच्या पर्यंत पोहोचविली.. मा. जिल्हाधिकारी साहेबांनी आपल्या प्रामाणिक भावनांना अत्यंत सकारात्मक प्रतिसाद दिला आणि आरोग्यरक्षणाचे नियम पाळून.. मर्यादित स्वरूपात.. व्यक्तिगत आणि सामूहीक आरोग्याची पूर्ण काळजी घेऊन.. आपल्याला दुर्ग- डोंगर भटकंतीला परवानगी दिलेली आहे.. या बद्दल आपण सर्व दुर्गभटके मा. जिल्हाधिकारी साहेबांप्रती कृतज्ञ आहोत.. अर्थात आता दुर्ग डोंगर भटकंती सुरु करतांना आपली जबाबदारी अधिकच वाढली आहे याचे भान आपण सर्वांनी ठेवणे आवश्यक आहे... कोरोनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर कोणत्याही आरोग्यरक्षण नियमावलीचे उल्लंघन होणार नाही याची खबरदारी आवश्यक आहे...
म्हणूनच... संख्या मर्यादा, मुक्काम टाळणे, स्वभोजन इ. बाबींबरोबरच

The letter was sent to the President of Kolhapur District Mountaineering Association, Dr. Amar Adke has got it.
Kolhapur district is said to be the first in the state to get permission to roam.
The lockdown took place in March. As a result, the wandering of the fortresses took a ‘break’. Dr. Adke had submitted a memorandum to District Collector Desai seeking permission for wandering.
The rules are as follows:
A nomadic group should not have more than 15 members
Thermal screening of each member is mandatory.
If there is excess number, different time should be kept in different groups.
Everyone must wear a three-layer mask, plain cloth or handkerchief covering the nose and mouth.
Strict care should be taken to maintain physical distance as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Individuals below 10 years and above 65 years should not participate.
People with corona-like symptoms like fever, chills, cough should not be involved.
Meals, not stay in the house of the locals. Members should not stay together with others.
Do not handle each other's objects (mobile, camera).
In case of violation of rules, action will be taken against the concerned as per the provisions of Disaster Management Act and Infectious Diseases Control Act.
Gadkot is a natural remedy for wandering young generation.

The Kolhapur District Mountaineering Association is the official apex body of mountaineering, mountaineering organizations and climbers in the district, so the organization is aware of the responsibility of guarding all of our obsessive Gadkot wanderers. For the last seven-eight months we have stayed away from the mountain forts, we have all experienced how difficult it is not to go to Gadkot in the last few months .. We cannot stay away from the hills for a long time ... The mountain fort is our true life .. Your breath is ,,, your longing to go to the mountain forts was making us uneasy ... that's why we, the Collector, with all these feelings of going to the mountain forts

The Collector responded very positively to his sincere feelings and by following the rules of health care .. in a limited form .. taking full care of personal and collective health .. we have allowed you to wander around the fort-mountain ..
